AeroPress is a relatively new coffee maker. It is light, compact and almost unbreakable, making it ideal for travel. When preparing coffee in the AeroPress, you have almost unlimited options for setting the temperature, time, and amount of coffee, so everyone can find their best recipe.
Here are two basic recipes for inspiration:
Classic method:
You will need:
- 16 g of coffee ground one degree coarser than per filter
- 250 ml of water at a temperature of 92°C
Method:
- Insert the paper filter into the holder and rinse it with water. Then put it on the aeropress and place it on a mug or other solid container in which you will prepare coffee.
- Put the ground coffee in the aeropress, then pour 30 ml of water and mix thoroughly with a stirrer or spoon so that all the ground coffee is soaked.
- After about 20 seconds, slowly add the rest of the water to a total amount of 250 ml. And stir lightly.
- Then put on the plunger and slowly push the drink into the cup using moderate pressure. Do not push until the end, so that the bitter foam does not come out.
- Enjoy great coffee.
Reverse method:
You will need:
- 16 g of coffee ground one degree coarser than per filter
- 250 ml of water at a temperature of 92°C
Method:
- Place the paper filter in the holder and rinse it with water. Insert the piston into the aeropress, but only so that it does not fall out. Subsequently, place the aeropress upside down, so that you have a kind of container.
- Put ground coffee inside. Pour in 30 ml of water and mix well. After about 20 seconds, slowly add the rest of the water to a total amount of 250 ml. And stir lightly.
- Then close the aeropress with the holder together with the filter. Place a mug or other solid container in which you will prepare the coffee and turn the whole assembly in a quick movement.
- Then, slowly push the drink into the cup using moderate pressure. Do not push until the end, so that the bitter foam does not come out.
- Enjoy great coffee.
