Green coffee selection
Roasting begins with the careful selection of green coffee beans - the variety, origin, processing method and their moisture content all influence the resulting flavor profile. Before roasting, the beans are sorted, cleaned and inspected to ensure their uniform size and quality, which is key to a precise roast.

Roasting
The beans are placed in a roaster where they are gradually heated to a high temperature. During this process, a series of chemical reactions occur that release the aroma and develop the flavor and body of the coffee beans.

Profile check
Our roasters pay close attention to each batch – monitoring every temperature, color and aroma change, and deciding when to stop the process based on the targeted flavor profile. Whether roasting lighter coffees with a fruity character or fuller, darker profiles, they always strive for the perfect balance between sweetness, body and subtle bitterness.

Rest and degassing
After roasting, coffee needs several hours to days to degas – releasing carbon dioxide. Only when the gas has dissipated can the flavors fully develop and the coffee reach its optimal taste for brewing.

Packaging and storage
The coffee is packaged in high-quality La Boheme Café branded packaging with a one-way valve that allows gases to escape but does not let air in. This ensures that the coffee retains its freshness and aroma – exactly as it should be when you open it for preparation.
