Support for the Café of Life at the Opava Hospital
For several years now, La Boheme has been donating coffee to the Café of Life at the Silesian Hospital in Opava. This café provides patients and their visitors with a place where they can relax, recharge their batteries, and escape from the hospital environment for a while. The project is supported by volunteers from the Pavel Novotný Foundation and primarily serves patients from the hematology-oncology department. With this gesture, La Boheme helps to make difficult times more pleasant for these people, when every moment of support and relief is precious.

Aid to Ukraine 2022
La Boheme Café actively participated in helping Ukraine during the humanitarian crisis. We donated 35,000 cups of tea and 47,000 cups of coffee to the Czech Red Cross, which distributed these beverages to Ukrainian hospitals and shelters. In addition, we donated 100% of the proceeds from the sale of apricot and jasmine-flavored iced tea, Yellow & Blue tea, and the limited edition All We Need Is Love coffee to charity collections in support of Ukraine.

Adopting elephant orphans in Africa
One of the projects we are proud to support is the adoption of elephant orphans in Africa. These young elephants often lose their families due to poaching, human-wildlife conflict or natural disasters. Through rescue and aftercare programs, they are given a second chance at life in the wild.

Helping a children's school in Rwanda
In 2015, we supported a children’s school in Rwanda that provides education to children from the local community. We contributed to the renovation of school equipment, teaching aids and the provision of basic teaching needs. We believe that access to education is key to positive change and long-term development – which is why we are proud to have been a part of this meaningful project.

Gorilla conservation in the heart of Rwanda
In 2015, Charles became involved in supporting the Virunga Nature Reserve, home to the rare mountain gorillas. He has contributed to the protection of their natural habitat and sustainable projects that help maintain the balance between nature and local communities. This initiative is part of his wider commitment to environmental protection in coffee regions.
