Coffee from the foot of a volcano
The Kooperativa Koerintji Barokah Bersama brings together 320 farmers who cultivate land on a plateau at the foot of the Mount Kerinci, one of the active volcanoes in the Pacific Ring of Fire. Thanks to the fertile volcanic soil enriched by historical eruptions, this area provides a unique environment for growing coffee. The result is a coffee with a flavor profile of sweet berries and fresh lime.
From farm to cup
The cooperative is overseen by Triyono, who manages the cultivation, processing, and roasting of the coffee. The cooperative has fully equipped facilities, including a roastery and a cupping laboratory, allowing it to control the entire production process. Although it was founded as recently as 2017, it has quickly become an example of high-quality and consistent coffee production.
