V60 – home coffee preparation

History of the V60
The V60 dripper was created by the Japanese company Hario , which originally specialized in glass for the chemical industry. In 2004, it launched a revolutionary coffee dripper design with a conical shape and spiral grooves that ensure better water flow and even extraction.
Thanks to its simplicity and ability to highlight the subtle flavor nuances of coffee, the V60 quickly became an icon among baristas around the world. Today, it is one of the most widely used methods of filter coffee preparation and a symbol of Japanese precision in coffee culture.

Method:
- Place the paper filter in the V60 and rinse with water.
- Add the ground coffee and 40 ml of hot water, stir well so that all the coffee is wet. Wait 30 seconds.
- Then slowly add the rest of the water several times to the resulting volume of 330 ml.
- The total preparation time should not exceed 4 minutes; if it is longer, you need a coarser grind of coffee.
- Serve and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee!
