The last three months have been a period when culture, coffee, and community have come together more than ever before for La Bohème. Our café was temporarily transformed into a literary scene, we attended two major coffee festivals, and the end of the year belonged to one of the most intense periods ever - the Christmas season, during which our coffee and teas found their way into thousands of households across the country.
Each of these events had a different atmosphere, a different pace, and a different audience. But they all had one thing in common: the joy of sharing what we do.
Event at Na Švihance: an evening dedicated to Karel Gott and a new café record
One of the highlights of the fall was the cultural evening at Na Švihance, which we hosted in collaboration with the Olympia publishing house. The café hosted the launch of two new titles associated with the name Karel Gott – a photography publication and a book chronicling the search for the alleged male descendant of this musical legend.
For La Bohème, this evening had an even deeper, more personal dimension. Karel Gott liked our coffee and ordered it regularly – which is why the connection between his name and our space is so close to our hearts. It was not just a cultural event, but a moment that had real meaning for our team.
During the evening, we served approximately 150 guests, which is a new record for the Na Švihance café. The space was filled to capacity, the baristas were working at full speed, and the café was literally alive. It is moments like these that remind us that a café is not just about coffee – but above all about meeting people, sharing, and stories that remain.

Liberec Coffee Festival: sharing flavors and know-how
In the fall, we also traveled to Liberec for the Liberec Coffee Festival, where we had the opportunity to introduce La Bohème to a wider community of specialty coffee lovers. At our stand, we presented what is closest to our hearts - carefully roasted specialty coffees and a curated selection of premium teas from Harney & Sons Fine Teas.
However, it wasn't just about serving drinks. For us, the festival was mainly about sharing experiences and dialogue. We talked about the origin of coffees, flavor profiles, the differences between individual preparation methods, and how coffee and tea can naturally coexist. We enjoyed answering questions, tasting with visitors, and opening up topics that went deeper than just "what would you like?"
The atmosphere was open, friendly, and inspiring. A big thank you goes to everyone who stopped by, tasted our products, and shared their curiosity with us. It is these conversations that give meaning to our work.

Prague Coffee Festival 2025: two action-packed days with the specialty coffee community
The highlight of the season came with the Prague Coffee Festival 2025, one of the most important events for specialty coffee in Central Europe. Once again, we had the honor of being part of it and spending two intense days among people who share the same passion for quality, transparency, and innovation.
We presented our latest coffees, including limited lots purchased directly from farmers. A new addition from Indonesia Kerinci, with its subtle notes of milk chocolate, became a big favorite among visitors. We also prepared signature drinks created especially for the festival, organized public cuppings that were hopelessly sold out, and our team led a workshop focused on roasting. There was also a tasting of the new La Bohème merche.
It was two days full of inspiring encounters, expert debates, and the joy of being part of a strong and growing coffee community.

Christmas season: thousands of parcels and coffee at festive tables
The end of the year brought a completely different kind of energy. Instead of festival stands and events, we focused entirely on our e-shop and orders, because Christmas is a time when many people want to give something personal and meaningful.
This year, our coffee and teas became part of holiday tables, Christmas breakfasts, and gifts under the tree in thousands of households. Each package meant a little story to us—a gift for parents, a thank you to colleagues, or joy for loved ones.
In total, we sent 5,502 packages during the season.
It's a number that makes us very happy, but we're even happier to think about how many cups of coffee and tea were enjoyed thanks to this. How many morning moments, family gatherings, and quiet moments of peace our products accompanied.
