Fine coffee is not just about the taste in the cup – it’s a story that begins on farms far from our homes. At La Bohème Café, we know that behind every bean are people who put passion and expertise into their work. One of them is Mauricio Salaverria, a farmer from El Salvador with whom we have a long-standing friendship and close collaboration.

Our collaboration with Mauricio is rooted in mutual trust and a shared passion for coffee. We had the honor of welcoming him to our coffee lab in Prague for a cupping session and enjoying a cup of his coffee together in our café. We have been working with Mauricio for a long time and have visited his farms several times, where we had the opportunity to personally observe the ripening and processing of coffee cherries. His meticulousness and expertise continue to inspire us.

Coffees from Mauricio's farms have won numerous prestigious awards, including being ranked among the best in the 2015 Cup of Excellence competition. This competition is a mark of the highest quality and confirms that Mauricio is among the absolute top in the industry.
